A BOUNCE FOR BRADFORD
This print was designed by David Hockney for ‘Bradford’s Bouncing Back’, a campaign for economic and social recovery in his hometown. It was issued as a centrefold in the Telegraph & Argus newspaper and the edition ran to many thousand copies. The reverse explained: ‘This is an original print produced by the T&A’s printing presses: Hockney (from his studio in Los Angeles) supplied the graphics and the instructions on the colours to be used’. Hockney also produced prints by photocopy and fax, stating ‘there is no such thing as bad printing or poor printing. Any printing process has its own beauty that can be used.’
